PARTS OF THE BODY: EYES HEART & DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

Blood comes from the Right Atrium, Through the Tricuspid Valve, and into the right ventricle, then through the Pulmonary Valve and into the lungs where it takes a load of oxygen. The Pulmonary nerve takes blood to the Left Atrium then through the Mitral Valve and last to the Left Ventricle. Now let’s talk about the digestive system.When you eat food it goes in your mouth and the food is chewed into bits. .After, the salivary gland makes the bits of food slippery so the food can go down the esophagus. Seconds later it travels through the stomach and into the small intestine. Little while later it is in your large intestine, after that the food goes in your rectum and down to the anus.  The eye is about the size of a ping pong ball . The pupil is in the middle of the eye, the iris is surrounding the pupil. Therefore the window to the eye is the Cornea. The cornea  focuses light as it passes through.Did you know the iris is behind the cornea, it is the thing that makes the eyes colourful.. In the middle of the iris is a black circle called  the pupil, the iris has muscles attached to it to control how much light comes in from your pupil.

The pupil is an opening to let the light come in,

the more light there is the smaller your pupil is. Blinking protects your eyes and gives moisture.

Light passes through the lens. Lens take the light back where the seeing really starts to happen.

They are attached the fibre muscles which is attached to the ciliary.

The ciliary muscles help change the lens making it focus a lot or less.

To see something near the ciliary muscle make the lens become thick,

to see something far the ciliary muscles make the lens thinner.

Behind the lens is the retina which is the back wall of the eyeball.  Lens focus the light onto the Retina. The Retina has lots of light sensitive cells called rods and cones, there are 120 million rods and 7 million cones in each eye WOW!

Rods see in black, white and shades of gray. Rods help us see the shape of things they also help us see in the dark.

Cones are sensitive to one of three colours Red, Green or blue together they let us see millions of colours. Cones need more light to work then rods. Messages are sent through the octave nerve. Messages are sent to the brain by the octave nerve, it sends messages  about what they are seeing

The mother climbs on the shore to lay the eggs in a hole, then she lays 1000 eggs in one year,the eggs are the size of ping pong balls.Meanwhile she covers them up in the hot sand.The sea turtle lays 50-200 eggs and about 80% of the eggs hatch. After they hatch they squirm onto the shore. Then they have to try to survive. Sadly only 1% of all sea turtles survive with human interference. Mother sea turtle restarts the cycle again by breed the new generation of baby sea turtles.

Dear Zoo Keeper,

I am writing to offer my opinion about my enclosure I am kept in. Deeply, I appreciate the fact that I am safe and very well sheltered. I also like the delicious food that you feed me.My enclosure is  super clean for me to climb and walk around.

However,could I please have more space to play in,I’d also like a course to climb. Please could you put more red pandas in my enclosure so I can be friends with them and they could also keep me company. I’d like to go for a walk so I can get some fresh air.

swimming 4th lesson

Splash! I carefully did a standing dive into the pool,''hello''said a voice ''it was our instructor''.Well he told my group to swim 50 meters  freestyle,then we did some breaststroke kicking.Finally it's time to do breaststroke with arms,I had lots of fun doing the forward roll and a handstand in the water,next time I think I need to stay in the correct lane because when i did backstroke I bumped into someone.

Today room 2 went swimming,it was our second lesson.First I did some kicking then I did backstroke,I think I need to work on staying in the same lane.

One Spring afternoon, I sat next to the wet sandpit.Suddenly, the wind went flashing past me and onto a tree.I could hear the colourful leaves whispering softly on the brown tree,their leaves opened like a whole spring unfolding in a moment.I went back to the sandpit.”what a disgusting smell I said’’as I looked down, I saw a stinky wet sock,”that was what it is I said’’.I went back to the colourful tree,I could see the leaves rustling,the tree was gorgeous.I sat down beside the tree,I could feel the rough concrete on my pants.Beep!!the bell rung,I walked quickly back to my classroom.

Happily,I was walking down the path with my classmates.Slippery,wet, disgusting mud.I was to close to the side of a slope ,I tumbled down.Help I screamed,they did not hear.I was worried that they would leave me so I tried climbing,but it was no use.I could hear the footsteps of my classmates leaving.I could smell the fresh grass from their shoes.I can see my classmates on their way back to camp.I tried climbing up the slope again,this time I slipped back into the cold mud.I cried,I knew it was no use crying.I was frustrated.I could feel the cold disgusting dirt on my hands,I could taste the freezing wind going into my mouth.I was alone.Sleepy and tired I fell asleep,I was low on energy. I got rescued today,my teacher realized I was missing.I was happy as a bear eating honey!!!

What if it was your Birthday everyday?

If it was my birthday every day I would do whatever I want every day.I would have Slumber parties everyday,I would stay up all night till morning.I will not eat my vegetables and instead I would eat junk food.I will have lot's of fun,my room would be covered with lot's of presents my friends will knock and ring on the doorbell everyday.I will have a very high sugar level which is not healthy,I will become very sick because I would be full of cake and unhealthy stuff.I would not get any sleep and if I don't get a lot of sleep then I won't have energy for the next day I also will not grow.I will become lazy and tired,I will get sick of the sweet food,I think it is a bad idea to have a birthday everyday.

how I feel about camp?                                                     I feel excited,happy,worried and nervous because I've never slept in another place for one week.I hope I get used to it,some off my worries are:not liking the food,wetting my bed,getting bitten by insects in the middle of the night.I am nervous because I have built a raft.

P.E squash first time

This Monday my class went to the hall to play squash.I had to balance a squishy ball on a metal racket,we also bounced the ball on the walls.Rm2 had to find a partner to bounce
 ball.My favourite activity was playing tag with the big bouncy balls,we played three rounds of tag.I love playing the game squash!
